- On-Lawn Planting: For large trees, place the open-bottom ring directly on cleared ground. This encourages roots to tap into the natural soil below for better drought resistance.
- On-Deck Placement: Use our matching concrete bottoms. We recommend using “pot feet” or spacers to allow for airflow and drainage between the concrete base and your decking timber.
- Soil Choice: Fill your ring with our Premium Garden Mix for a nutrient-dense start. For the bottom 1/3 of very deep rings, consider a layer of scoria for enhanced drainage.
