To get the best results from your General Purpose Cement, follow these professional mixing tips:
- Mixing Ratios: For a standard concrete mix, a common ratio is 1 part cement to 2 parts No.2 Paving Sand and 3 parts aggregate. Adjust ratios for mortar or render as needed.
- Water Content: Add water gradually. A stiff mix is generally stronger than a wet, runny mix. Ensure all dry pockets are fully incorporated.
- Placement: Use within 45-60 minutes of mixing. Avoid working with cement in direct midday sun to prevent premature drying and cracking.
- Storage: Keep bags off the ground and in a dry, moisture-free environment to prevent “lumping” or pre-hydration.
