Wondering how much soil you’ll need for your garden project?

Our handy soil calculator can help!

To get an accurate estimate, you’ll need to know:

  • Dimensions: The length and width of your garden bed.
  • Depth: The desired depth of the soil layer.

Quick Tip: Remember, products like compost and soil can settle after spreading and watering. So, it’s a good idea to add a 20% buffer to your calculated amount to account for compaction. It’s also a good idea to add a 5% buffer for unforeseen variances with your site. When it comes to ordering, it’s a good idea to round up to the nearest half cubic metre. Contact the Gardenscape team for any assistance in working out what you need.
